tetonpasscam.com does not require an account and does not collect personally identifying information beyond what is described below.
When you submit a road report (crash, slick conditions, wildlife, etc.), your device identifier and IP address are hashed with a one-way cryptographic hash before storage — we never store the raw values themselves. These hashes exist only to enforce a per-device/per-IP rate limit and to let us block abusive submitters; they cannot be reversed back into your device ID or IP address, and reports themselves are never published with any identifying information attached.
If you use the feedback form, we store the message you write and, only if you choose to provide one, an email address so we can reply. Providing an email is always optional. As with community reports, your IP address is hashed with the same one-way cryptographic hash before storage — never the raw value — solely to enforce a rate limit on submissions; it cannot be reversed back into your IP address. Feedback messages and their IP hash are kept for as long as we need them to read and respond to feedback and to prevent abuse, unless you ask us to delete a submission (see Contact below).
There is no login, no user profile, and no advertising or cross-site tracking. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate site usage -- pages visited, approximate location, and device type -- not to identify individual visitors. Google Analytics sets cookies and/or similar identifiers in your browser to do this; see Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles that data. Analytics data is never joined with the hashed device/IP identifiers described above or with feedback submissions.
Questions about this policy or a request to remove a submitted report can be sent to drew@monroeresidential.com.
